Brachers advises shareholders of Avenue Tennis Limited on sale to David Lloyd Leisure

The corporate team at Kent law firm Brachers has successfully advised the shareholders of Avenue Tennis Limited on the sale of the company to David Lloyd Leisure.

Incorporated in 2015, Avenue Tennis is a premium fitness and racquets facility offering 17 stateโ€‘ofโ€‘theโ€‘art indoor and outdoor tennis and racquet courts, a wellness suite, fully equipped fitness studios, a range of classes, personal training and expert support.

The acquisition by David Lloyd Leisure will see the Medway site become the groupโ€™s sixth club in Kent, joining a wider network that promises increased investment, expanded coaching pathways and more integrated family fitness offerings.

As part of the overall transaction, Brachers also advised Jarvis Holdings (Medway) Limited on the simultaneous sale of the Avenue Tennis real estate to David Lloyd Leisure, completed alongside the corporate share sale. The coordination of the property and corporate elements ensured a seamless transfer of both the operating business and the underlying site.

The Brachers team was led by corporate partner Dan King and commercial property partner Ash Jilani.

Shareholder of Avenue Tennis Colin Jarvis said: โ€œThis marks an exciting new chapter for Avenue Tennis. We are proud of the community we have built, and we believe David Lloydโ€™s commitment to investment and quality will ensure our members continue to enjoy exceptional facilities and opportunities for years to come.โ€

Glen Jarvis added: โ€œDan, Ash and the wider Brachers team have been exceptional throughout the entire process. Their professionalism, clear communication and calm, pragmatic approach made a challenging transaction feel straightforward and wellโ€‘managed.

โ€œWe felt fully supported at every stage and are grateful for their expertise in helping us achieve a successful outcome.โ€

Dan King said: โ€œWe are delighted to have supported the shareholders of Avenue Tennis on this important transaction. I would like to congratulate all of the shareholders on successfully completing the sale and on everything they have achieved in building such an impressive and communityโ€‘focused facility.

โ€œIt has been a genuine pleasure to work with them throughout the process. Their responsiveness and collaborative approach contributed greatly to the smooth progression of the transaction, and we are proud to have helped secure a strong future for the club within a respected and wellโ€‘resourced group like David Lloyd Leisure.โ€
