Leaders in the creative and education sectors can “shape the future of Thanet’s creative economy” at a new event, set to take place at the brand-new EKC Broadstairs College Margate Digital Campus.
The Stronger Together Creative Thanet event, taking place on Thursday 12 February, promises to be a unique opportunity for creatives to play an active role in driving innovation and influencing the next chapter of creative development in the district.
Attendees will hear from a distinguished line-up of speakers, notably speaker Dr Sue Black OBE. Industry experts will share insights into the future of creative skills, industry trends and the importance of partnership working in nurturing emerging talent.
Contributors include Dan Chilcott, interim executive director of Margate Creative Land Trust; Naomi Cooper-Davis, an actor, creative producer and co-chair of Margate Creative Land Trust; Dan Richards, founder of A+C Studios; Elinor Seath of Creative Catalyst; and Ross Buttery, head of campus of EKC Broadstairs College Margate Digital Campus.
The agenda includes keynote talks, panel discussions, networking opportunities and an exclusive first-look tour of the state-of-the-art EKC Broadstairs College Margate Digital Campus, showcasing the innovative facilities soon to be available for creative learners and industry partners. Breakfast and lunch will also be available.
Attendees are asked to arrive from 9.30am for a 10am start. Lunch will be served at 1pm before the event is brought to a close with a tour of the EKC Broadstairs College Margate Digital Campus.

“This event follows work we’ve already done under the Stronger Together programme to build hospitality capabilities. By creating opportunities for people to gain the right skills, we’re building a more resilient future for everyone in Thanet.”
