Mayo Wynne Baxter announces promotions amid continued growth

South East law firm Mayo Wynne Baxter has announced six promotions, effective 1 November 2025.

The firm has promoted private client legal executive Lauren Puttock-Brown to partner.

In response to feedback from its people, Mayo Wynne Baxter has introduced a new senior associate role to bridge the gap between associate and legal director. The role aligns with a recognised career milestone across the legal sector, offering a clearer pathway for lawyers to continue building their technical expertise, commercial insight and client relationship skills.

Private client lawyers Ursula Tanner and Paula Tinton have been promoted to senior associate, alongside family expert Estella Hlisnikowski and property specialist Marika Monaghan. Private client solicitor Sara Bashir has also been promoted to associate.

The promotions follow Mayo Wynne Baxterโ€™s strongest performance in its history, with the firm achieving record revenue of more than ยฃ15m for the 2024/25 financial year โ€“ delivering double-digit growth.

In 2024/25, the firm invested heavily in its physical presence, relocating to a new, modern office in the heart of East Grinstead and moving its Eastbourne team into a purpose-built space following a ยฃ1m refurbishment.

Already in the current financial year, Mayo Wynne Baxter has opened a new office in Tunbridge Wells, strengthening its links with clients across Kent, Sussex and surrounding areas, while paving the way for further regional growth.

Dean Orgill, chief executive at Mayo Wynne Baxter, said: โ€œOur people are the cornerstone of everything we do, and these promotions reflect their dedication, expertise and the vital role they play in delivering outstanding client service.

โ€œIntroducing the senior associate role demonstrates our commitment to clear, achievable career pathways that support professional growth and reward excellence.

โ€œAs we expand across the South East, we remain focused on empowering our teams to thrive, ensuring our clients continue to benefit from the highest standards of legal advice and support.โ€

Mayo Wynne Baxter now operates 11 offices across the South East, including in Brighton, Chichester, Crawley, East Grinstead, Eastbourne, Lewes, London, Peacehaven, Seaford, Storrington and Tunbridge Wells.
