Crowe advises Westbrooke on its strategic investment in RED Driving School

National audit, tax, advisory and consulting firm Crowe is proud to have advised Westbrooke Alternative Asset Management, a UK-focused private equity firm committed to long-term value creation, on its investment in RED Driving School, the country’s leading and fast-growing driver training provider.

This strategic investment underscores Westbrooke’s commitment to backing high-quality, growth-oriented businesses alongside experienced partners and ambitious management teams.

Crowe provided comprehensive investment support throughout the transaction, including financial due diligence, tax structuring, and valuation services.

The Crowe team was led by Geert Struyven, corporate finance partner, and Simon Crookston, corporate tax partner. They were supported by David Oliver and Peter Bowles on corporate tax matters, with Andy Spencer providing specialist VAT input.

The broader corporate finance team included Kieran Lambe, Harvir Atwal and Aaron Clare. Valuation services were provided by Lewis Clarke.

Rob Grieve, head of Westbrooke UK Private Equity, said: “Crowe’s corporate finance team delivered clear and commercially focused buy-side support that enabled us to gain a deep understanding of the business and its growth potential.

“Geert and the team’s insight and responsiveness were valuable throughout the transaction. We especially appreciated their collaborative approach, which played a key role in successfully completing this investment.”

Geert, corporate finance lead at Crowe, added: “It was a pleasure working with Rob and the Westbrooke team on this exciting acquisition.

“RED Driving School is a standout business with a strong market position, and we’re proud to have supported Westbrooke on their latest investment. The collaborative spirit across all teams made this a smooth and rewarding process.”

Westbrooke’s partnership with RED Driving School aims to accelerate its growth and continue delivering exceptional service to learners across the UK.
