Furley Page celebrates 300th anniversary at ‘Furley Fest’

Hundreds of people made their way to Macknade in Faversham to help Kent-based law firm Furley Page celebrate its 300th anniversary at ‘Furley Fest’.

The event was held as the summer highlight of a year of celebrating the law firm’s historic anniversary as clients, staff, associates and their families attended for an evening of networking, local food and drink, live music and fireworks.

Susan Jennings, partner and head of corporate, said: “It is important to Furley Page that we included our clients, staff and their families in our celebration of such a significant milestone, and to celebrate within the community that the firm has served for so long.

“It was a fantastic evening, and fortunately, we seemed to have caught the last good day of summer’s weather. Feedback from local groups stated that the fireworks display was one of the best they had seen in ages, and it was a fitting way to help us celebrate our 300th year.”

The event forms part of the firm’s ambitious calendar of celebration and community-based projects to mark its anniversary year. It is a significant milestone for the firm, and Furley Fest presented a wonderful opportunity to fortify links with local businesses and clients with a truly unique event.

The venue for the Furley Fest was Macknade, a brand that has itself been in existence since 1847, and like Furley Page, has strong links to the Kent community.

Susan continued: “Macknade’s Food Village and Hop Shed was the perfect venue for our celebrations, enabling us to support local food and drink producers within an authentic Kentish backdrop.

“We were also delighted to raise funds during the evening for the Furley Page Foundation, which is supporting the Pilgrims Hospices this year.”
