Kent networking group launches free resource for businesses

Kent-based networking group Synergy Networking Events has expanded its offering to create a training hub specifically designed for business owners and startup founders.

The new Synergy Business Academy (SBA) has been created to provide accessible and free training to help businesses thrive. It will run alongside Synergy Networking Events, which is co-owned by Kent entrepreneurs Linda Cloke, Chris Endersby and Laura Endersby.

Linda said: โ€œAs a serial entrepreneur, Iโ€™ve wished a million times that I knew what I know now when I launched my first business over 25 years ago. The Synergy Business Academy will enable founders and directors to address any knowledge and skills gaps, and help with mindset and motivation.โ€

Since its launch in July 2025, nearly 100 people have joined the Academy, many of whom are also Synergy Networking members. They will provide the knowledge sessions, which will cover a wide range of topics โ€“ from mindset to outsourcing, succeeding on social media and more.

Speaking of her decision to launch SBA as a Facebook group, Linda explained: โ€œWe wanted to create something unique and free that all business owners and entrepreneurs could access, not just in Kent, but from anywhere in the UK.

โ€œMost people have a Facebook account, so all they have to do is log in and go straight to the group for the live sessions. Synergy members will be presenting on a range of topics, and people can also watch the recordings in their own time. Members will be available to answer any questions, post-event.โ€

The aim was to create a safe space community where no question goes unasked and anyone is welcome to tap into the knowledge of the group.

The first live session took place on 7 August, where transformative coach Denise Holland delivered a talk on mindset and overcoming impostor syndrome.

SBAโ€™s free-to-watch sessions are planned to be broadcast live on Thursday afternoons. They are also streamed via the Synergy Networking LinkedIn page.

Linda continued: โ€œThis is my way of giving back to the business community, and also to highlight the vast skills and knowledge of Synergy Networking members.โ€
