Barratt Homes site manager honoured with national award

Barratt Homes site manager Billy Oborne has been recognised with a prestigious national award for the second year in a row, celebrating the high standards of construction at The Poppies development in Kent.

Billy has once again received the National House Building Councilโ€™s (NHBC) โ€˜Pride in the Jobโ€™ award, one of the most respected accolades in the housebuilding industry.

The award highlights the exceptional quality of site management, with over 8,000 managers across the UK considered each year. Winners are judged on rigorous criteria, including technical knowledge, leadership, health and safety, and attention to detail.

This year marks the 21st consecutive year that Barratt Developments has secured more โ€˜Pride in the Jobโ€™ awards than any other housebuilder, with 115 wins in total.

Oliver Chapman, construction director at Barratt Redrow Southern Counties, said: โ€œItโ€™s incredible to celebrate Billyโ€™s win at The Poppies for the second year running. As a housebuilder to have won the most awards for 21 years in a row is a fantastic achievement, and it wouldnโ€™t have been possible to do it without the amazing site managers that lead our team.

โ€œWe pride ourselves on building exceptional homes at the highest quality, and the numerous Pride in the Job Award wins reflects how we succeed every time.โ€

Billy added: โ€œTo have received this recognition for two years running just shows how hard our team works. We are passionate about creating homes that last a lifetime โ€“ both for the residents and in their quality, so this award is a true honour to receive as our hard work pays off. The category recognises many talented site managers, so I am beyond proud to have won.โ€
