Select Technology launches new IT service to support businesses

Kent managed service provider Select Technology has launched a brand-new service called WorkReady to support the fastest-growing businesses in the region.

WorkReady is the first product launch from the Paddock Wood-based company since joining Locate in Kentโ€™s corporate partner scheme in March, with a particular focus on helping startups and SMEs with high growth potential.

It is aimed at businesses across all sectors that can too often be left to their own devices when it comes to IT support, with none of the benefits that larger companies enjoy. This new service is aimed at putting that right by giving smaller businesses access to expert IT support that may previously have been out of reach.

Nick Potter, managing director, Select Technology, said: โ€œAt a time when small businesses have the potential to scale faster than ever, many are held back by outdated IT systems and rising security risks.

โ€œWith WorkReady, scale-ups can eliminate IT friction, reduce downtime and free up leadership to focus on what matters most โ€“ growing the business.โ€

โ€œOur WorkReady service is built specifically for ambitious SMEs who want more than just basic IT support. This new solution combines expert IT support, cybersecurity measures and automation and AI advice, alongside the latest devices โ€“ so businesses can innovate confidently, streamline operations and stay secure while focusing on growth.โ€

Nick Fenton, CEO of Locate in Kent, added: โ€œWeโ€™re delighted to see Select Technology launching this new service to support Kentโ€™s scale-up and startup community.

โ€œAs Kentโ€™s economy continues to grow at pace, driven by over ยฃ50bn of investment opportunities, the tech sector plays an increasingly vital role in powering innovation, productivity and high-value job creation.

โ€œFast-growing businesses are central to the UKโ€™s future economic resilience, and Kent and Medway is proud to be nurturing the talent, infrastructure and ambition that makes that growth possible.โ€
