Birketts welcomes two new partners to Sevenoaks office

UK Top 50 law firm Birketts has announced that two new partners will be joining its Sevenoaks office in May 2025.

The newcomers are Salim Somjee and Helen Garner, who both join Birketts from Cripps and will boost Birkettsโ€™ Corporate team.

Rafael Ruiz, partner and head of the Corporate team at Birketts, said: โ€œSalim and Helen are highly respected corporate lawyers in the South East, advising businesses on a range of corporate matters, and with specialisms of advising on individuals, corporates and private equity funds on a range of cross border and private equity M&A transactions.

โ€œThey will join our growing and dynamic corporate team of 20 partners across our seven offices in London and the South, building on our corporate transaction capabilities in our Sevenoaks office, and in our International and Private Equity teams. We are delighted to welcome them to the team.โ€

This month, Birketts is also welcoming three further partners to the firm: Damocles Merry, in the Corporate team in Bristol; Simon Oats in the Construction team in Ipswich and Phil Brown in the Residential Development team in Bristol.
