McBrides Chartered Accountants joins forces with DJH

McBrides Chartered Accountants has announced a significant milestone in its 52-year journey, having joined DJH, a UK Top 40 accountancy group.

Managing partner Tanya Hamilton and her fellow partners will continue to lead McBrides, which will serve as a southern hub for DJH.

Joining DJH enables McBrides to continue supporting its significant client base with access to additional in-house specialist services, such as R&D tax credits, capital allowances, commercial funding, HR and IT.

Tanya Hamilton, managing partner at McBrides Chartered Accountants, said: “Joining DJH is a milestone in the McBrides journey, providing an opportunity to strengthen our services, giving new and exciting opportunities for further growth, while also delivering more investment in the training, recruitment and wellbeing of our team.

“Being part of a top 40 accountancy firm that shares our vision and values is going to help us create the best possible place to work and provide further enhanced services to our clients.”

DJH provides audit, accounting, tax and specialist business advisory services to businesses nationwide. Following a series of 10 acquisitions in three years, DJH has grown to a multidisciplinary team of 580 people across 10 offices in the Midlands, North-West and Yorkshire.

The firm combines local expertise with national reach, while maintaining personalised service at it its heart.

Scott Heath, chief executive officer at DJH, added his support: “We are delighted that McBrides has become our first acquisition in the south and look forward to welcoming the team’s impressive legacy and huge skillset into our group.

“McBrides will serve as an important hub for us in the south and we’re excited to support them in the next stage of their journey.”
