Armatool selects Forterro’s Orderwise to drive UK-wide expansion

Surrey’s Armatool Distributors Limited has chosen Orderwise Cloud to power its nationwide expansion and enhance operational efficiency.

Armatool is a tool and sundries distribution company based in Redhill. It supplies more than 2,000 different products – including its own range – to trade and DIY stores in the UK.

Its customer base is primarily located in the South East of England, but the company has plans to further grow the business through customer acquisition across the UK.

This expansion has already seen the hiring of additional sales reps to focus on customers in other regions of the UK, and the sales push will require a vast increase in reporting and visibility, allowing Armatool to highlight areas for continuous improvement and grow the business. Orderwise will support this growth by providing more efficient processes and access to more data.

Adam Wheeler, director of Armatool, said: “Our existing system offers limited tools to manage stock, order processing and future third-party integrations.

“As our expansion plans took shape, it became clear we needed a more scalable and flexible system and Orderwise Cloud was the clear choice.

“By using a single solution to manage all business processes, we are aiming to save 50% of the time spent on order and invoice processing.”

Orderwise Cloud provides dedicated warehouse management and stock control functionality for wholesalers. The system integrates stock, sales, accounts and analytics into one unified system, providing users real-time control and immediate operational insight.

With tools for trade pricing, forecasting and optimising stock levels, it combines stock-centric precision with ERP capabilities to streamline operations, enhance visibility and drive growth.

The modern cloud infrastructure – Orderwise Cloud runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) – will provide Armatool with easy access to the system and removes the need for them to manage and upgrade a server.

Meanwhile, the integrated CRM solution will increase visibility of information across the business, providing the sales team with the tools to help win customers.

Furthermore, handheld mobile devices introduced into the warehouse will enable smarter management of all warehouse processes and improved stock accuracy across the business.
