Europa Worldwide Group, a Dartford-based logistics company, marks International Women’s Day 2025 by highlighting its above-average female workforce representation in the sector.
Across its operations, Europa now employs 40% women, compared to industry figures from the Transport Exchange Group, which indicate that women make up just 20% of the transport sector’s workforce.
All parts of Europa now have over 20% female representation. The company attributes this to its approach, which includes flexible policies and support for parents.
In Europa Road’s sales operations, women hold a significant number of leadership roles. Of its team of 370, 47% of Branch Managers and 55% of Customer Service Managers are female.
Europa Air & Sea, which operates in the UK and globally in Hong Kong, China and the UAE, has 35% female representation.
Europa Warehouse, which includes 3PL and bonded warehouse facilities in Dartford, Birmingham and Corby, reports that 43% of its workforce is female, spanning roles from operations to senior management.
Dionne Redpath, chief operating officer, who leads the Europa Warehouse, said: “All of our team across the business have been appointed because of their sheer talent and hard work.
“At Europa, we’re passionate about reaching a balanced gender split which therefore provides women with an equal opportunity to take up senior positions if they so wish.”
As part of International Women’s Day, the company, which employs over 1,400 people across 26 UK and international sites, has launched a competition to recognise women within its workforce who contribute to the company’s development.
