Surrey-based property management company ELM Group is celebrating a strong start to 2025 after collecting five key industry awards in November, recognising its significant contribution to the retirement property market as an ethical provider with transparent operations.
The not-for-profit organisation was recognised by the News on The Block’s coveted Property Management Awards in early November, picking up a gold award for ‘Business Development Manager of the Year’ – awarded to its business development manager Simon Goldsmith – as well as a Highly Commended award for ‘Growth Property Management Company of the Year’.
At the Negotiator Awards 2024, the UK’s leading independent awards programme for the residential property industry, which took place in central London in late November, ELM Group was awarded a silver award for ‘Block Management Company of the Year’, bronze for ‘Property Management Company of the Year’ and Highly Commended for ‘Employer of the Year’.
These awards follow a significant period of expansion for ELM Group, which saw it acquire 1,368 new units across 30 local authority areas from a leading housing provider. This took its portfolio of properties across the South of England from over 3,300 to 4,638 units, representing a combined growth of nearly 50% of owned and managed properties.
The non-profit company, which prides itself on its ethical and transparent practices, provides a tailored approach to all sectors of the residential property market informed by its progressive business plan The ELM Way, setting out its ethical values.
To operate in the best interest of its leaseholders, the company has never charged commissions or additional fees, and it also works hard to cut costs for customers where possible, saving them over £77,000 in 2023.
Lorraine Collis, chief executive at ELM Group, said: “What a way to end 2024 and start 2025! These awards really are testament to everything our team does to ensure we live up to our reputation as an ethical provider.
“Even amidst our momentous growth over the last 18 months, our hardworking team has been incredibly committed to upholding our values set out by The ELM Way as they’ve continued to provide unfaltering customer service excellence during a challenging time.
“The team even managed to save customers a significant amount last year by thinking outside the box and going the extra mile. All of this we do without ever charging commission.
“We’ve campaigned for greater regulation of the leasehold property industry to tackle unethical practices, and we’ll continue to do so as we prove that there’s a way to be successful without compromising on transparency and integrity.”
