Tassells Solicitors relocates from Faversham town centre

After 232 years at its historic premises on West Street, Faversham, Kent, Tassells LLP has moved to modern offices at Jubilee Way, a business park on the town’s outskirts.

Tassells, which specialises in private client and property work, has a rich history. The firm was formed in 1792 by James Shepherd and passed to James Tassell around 1841 after his marriage to Shepherd’s granddaughter.

Bryan (Peter) Tassell, the last family member to work in the firm, maintained his connection until his passing in 2005.

Since then, Tassells has seen leadership from Stafford Day, Ann Astbury and James Matthews, before Alexandra Gordon and Marc Goddard took the helm in 2023.

The move from West Street was a difficult decision, but with the firm growing and the need for modern offices, a decision was taken at the end of 2024 to relocate all staff to Jubilee Way.

The decision to leave the West Street office was not taken lightly. However, with the firm’s growth and the need for a more modern working environment, the move to Jubilee Way was finalised in late 2024 to better accommodate staff and clients.
