Shepherd Neame sponsors Rochester’s new Christmas lights

Kent independent family brewer and pub company Shepherd Neame is among the sponsors of the new Christmas Lights in Rochester.

After securing donations from a number of businesses and organisations in the area, the Rochester Christmas Lights Legacy Fund (RCLLF) has not only been able to provide new lights for the High Street – the first in over 20 years – but plans to upgrade all lighting over the next few years.

The Faversham-based brewer has two pubs in the city centre – The Royal Crown and the Two Brewers. Its contribution has been used to fund one of three newly illuminated trees along the High Street. A wooden plaque thanking Shepherd Neame for its support has been placed on the tree.

Keith Donegan, head of sponsorships for RCLLF, said: “We would like to thank Shepherd Neame and all our incredible sponsors for making this project a reality and helping us brighten up Rochester for the festive season and beyond!”

Clare Tierney, chair of RCLLF, The Royal Crown’s general manager Tom Crackett, and RCLLF Board Member Shane Waterman (L-R)
