Thackray Williams partners with Crystal Palace FC

Leading Kent and London law firm Thackray Williams is set to reach a global audience thanks to a new partnership with Premier League football club Crystal Palace.

The partnership will see the Thackray Williams brand broadcast to football fans around the world during Palace’s home games at Selhurst Park, both on the pitch-side LED displays and screens around the stadium.

Thackray Williams, which has offices in the City of London, Bromley, Sevenoaks and West Wickham, has teamed up with the Eagles as their local partner.

Partner Lewis Glasson, who heads Thackray Williams’ sports sector, said: “This partnership reinforces Thackray Williams’ growing influence in the sports sector and our commitment to providing affordable legal expertise to athletes, clubs and organisations at all levels.

He added: “We’re different to other legal firms operating in the sports sector. Sport is a big business, with stakeholders at various levels, from elite professionals to grassroots community clubs.

“People and businesses at all levels and of all abilities have legal issues, such as disputes, commercial deals or regulatory compliance.

“Not everyone can afford top-level City of London rates, and there is a growing demand for affordable, specialist legal advice in this sector.

“Thackray Williams is a challenger firm in the market. It provides the expertise clients need at competitive rates. It’s a unique proposition that democratises access to specialist sports legal advice for everything from routine contracts to national and international disputes.

“The Partnership with Crystal Place shows how the firm has grown from a leading regional firm to having a City, and now national and international presence.”

Barry Webber, chief commercial officer at Crystal Palace, said: “Thackray Williams’ commitment to excellence, paired with nurturing talent and proactively supporting their local communities, aligns with the values that run through the core of Palace, so we’re delighted to welcome them as our latest local partner.

Fans will get their first glimpse of the Thackray Williams brand at Palace’s first home game of the season on 24 August when they host West Ham.
