Smart Monkey appoints fractional MD to drive growth in B2B markets

Sussex-based specialist B2B digital marketing agency Smart Monkey has appointed Nick Silverstone as its new fractional MD to drive forward ambitious plans over the next five years.

Nick, who was most recently managing director of digital marketing agency Wagada Digital, will work with Smart Monkey founder Beth Nash as the agency looks to become the go-to for B2B companies that want to generate demand through SEO, paid media and digital PR.

Nick will focus on Smart Monkey’s operations, processes and new business to scale the agency and hit its ambitious growth plans. He will also have a hand in helping the agency retain its vibrant but professional culture as it grows over the coming years.

Beth said: “I met Nick a couple of years ago and we really hit it off. We’ve spent the last couple of months chatting about the marketing industry, the challenges we face and where we think we’re headed.

“He really understands what we’re working towards at Smart Monkey, having helped Wagada Digital grow over the last six years, and bringing a wealth of experience in sales, marketing and running businesses in the IT, recruitment and property sectors.

“While the last couple of years have been incredibly hard for businesses – especially small businesses – there are signs of recovery and we’re excited about what the future holds for Smart Monkey with Nick helping to guide us.”

Nick said: “I was drawn to Smart Monkey’s ethos of doing really good work and driving demand for clients across specialised B2B industries.

“The whole team are all experts in their field, with no junior members of staff, which is rare in the agency world.

“With a great foundation to build upon, I’m looking forward to helping take Smart Monkey to the next level, supporting growth plans and continuing to deliver for our clients.”
