Husband and wife team Lisa and Rejue Khalique, as well as Lisa’s cousin Stephanie Kew, who will be the registered manager, have launched their SureCare franchise in Sittingbourne to provide a broad range of regulated and non-regulated care services.
The business is based at the Wises Oast Business Centre in Borden, Sittingbourne, but its team of care workers will be providing services across the borough of Swale.
The family team are waiting for their registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to come through. In the meantime, they are rolling out a range of non-regulated services including childcare, pet care, cleaning and a mobile creche.
Lisa said: “Rejue, Stephanie and I had been looking to set up our own business for a while and wanted to do something that made a difference to people’s lives. Stephanie also has a background in care management.
“In addition, a family member had not had a great experience of home care and had to go into a care home.
“Opening a SureCare franchise in Swale gives us the scope to improve people’s lives by delivering quality care – whether that is home care, childcare, pet care or a range of other services.
“We loved the fact that SureCare is a family-run business itself with strong values around quality and providing high levels of support.
“Whether it is providing personalised care in someone’s home, supporting a couple struggling with childcare or taking a client’s dog for a walk, it is all about enhancing the quality of our clients’ lives.
“We already employ five staff and they have all been given the best possible training. They are representing SureCare so they need to be the best.”
The new SureCare Sittingbourne recently held an Easter Egg Hunt with 300 Easter eggs for children to hunt for, along with a raffle and other fun activities.
This follows another successful community initiative at Christmas when the company provided hampers for the Swale Food Bank.
Gary Farrer, managing director of SureCare, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Lisa and Rejue on board as our franchisees in Swale. They are an ambitious couple passionate about providing a great service across the borough.”
