Moore Barlow advises New Path Fire and Security on latest acquisition

Moore Barlow has advised regional fire safety and security firm New Path Fire and Security on the acquisition of Kent-based Electrifire Limited for an undisclosed sum.

Headquartered in Southampton, New Path Fire and Security has grown significantly in recent years into a thriving group of fire safety and security companies across the Southern UK region.

The group covers all aspects of fire safety, including the installation, maintenance and servicing of fire alarms, fire doors, fire stopping, extinguishers and emergency lighting, in addition to security solutions through CCTV, access control, intruder alarms and door entry systems.

Electrifire Limited will provide New Path Fire and Security with additional capacity and capability through its team and geographic reach.

The transaction was led by Kirsty Leary, partner in the corporate team at Moore Barlow, with assistance from Isabelle Balch.

The latest acquisition saw New Path utilise a 30-year financing deal with royalty finance provider Duke Royalty that Moore Barlow’s corporate team helped secure in 2022 to enable New Path Fire and Security to continue to pursue an ambitious buy-and-build growth strategy.

Mark Pihlens, corporate development director at New Path Fire & Security, said: “We are delighted to welcome Electrifire Limited to the New Path family.

“Electrifire are a great fit for our growing business and will strengthen our groups service capabilities in the vibrant London commercial market.

“As regular clients of Moore Barlow, we knew we were in safe hands. As ever, the team demonstrated sharp business knowledge and an excellent understanding of the commercial landscape. Their versatility and pragmatic approach always shines through.”

Kirsty Leary added: “It was a pleasure to once again advise New Path on their latest acquisition.

“Their resources and strategy will see New Path’s business continue to play a key role in the sector in the future, and the transaction demonstrated once again the strength in depth and responsive, practical service Moore Barlow’s Corporate Team is known for.”
