Award-winning local restaurant owners take over Pantiles Bar & Café

Murat Askin, Tess Kerslake and Lukas Barauskas, the team behind the award-winning TN1 Bar and Kitchen on Monson Road in Tunbridge Wells, have now taken over the Pantiles Bar & Café, situated on the historic Colonnade in The Pantiles, Tunbridge Wells.

Lukas, who was already head chef and business partner at the Pantiles Bar & Café for over four years and executive chef overseeing TN1 Bar and Kitchen, is looking forward to partnering with his fellow directors of TN1 Bar & Kitchen once more in this new joint venture.

Lukas said: “I am really proud of what we have already achieved at the Pantiles Bar & Café. Working with Tess and Murat will add another dimension to the business.

“We are extending our evening hours and offering a wider range to answer the needs of a broader clientele and I am excited for what the future holds.”

Murat and Tess, who have earned themselves a reputation for blending the warmth of a family-run business, a destination for live music and the professionalism of a high-quality restaurant, bar and café, are excited to take on this second location to weave their magic once more.

Murat added: “We are delighted to be joining The Pantiles community, and to be situated in such a stunning location.

“The Pantiles Bar & Café is brilliantly set out to provide services throughout the day. A great spot for brunch, cake and a coffee, perfect for after-work drinks and a lovely location for supper with friends.

“With seating for 30 inside and 35 outside nestled in the Colonnade, it really is an all-year-round location. We look forward to welcoming you to the Pantiles Bar & Café or revisit us at the TN1 Bar & Kitchen soon.”
