Tunbridge Wells-based video production company Digitom has been recognised for its high standards of social and environmental performance, achieving B Corporation status.
After an extensive verification process by B Lab, Digitom achieved an assessment score of 96.5 – significantly higher than the required 80 points.
Founded by Tom Chown in 2010, the company has built a solid reputation for creating engaging content with purpose for a wide range of public and private sector clients, both in the UK and internationally.
In the last few years, Digitom has created award-winning campaigns for British Transport Police, Nextdoor and Stagecoach Bus.
Tom said: “When I first learnt of B Corporation in 2021, I looked at our values and what we stood for as a business and realised that we had a lot in common with the global movement.
“From our approach to sustainability, building a new studio using renewable materials to creating pro-bono campaigns for charities, I felt our ethos aligned with B Corporation. We also use electric vehicles on location and a green energy supplier.
“Whilst we might be a microbusiness, we’re lucky enough to work with some big names and change begins at the roots.”
Tom added: “There’s a growing movement of business in Tunbridge Wells and the South East that are happy to poke their heads above the parapet and put themselves on the line to be examined.
“It took us 18 months of hard work to achieve our certification, but this is only the beginning as we will need to work hard to maintain our membership of the B Corp community.”
