National networking and influencer organisation Women in Property (WiP) has named Mamta Kudhail of Gowling WLG (UK) LLP as its new South East branch chair for 2026-27.
Mamta, a property litigation associate solicitor, takes the role from 1 March 2026 until 28 February 2027. She has been on the South East committee for three years.
Mamta said: “I am honoured to be appointed branch chair to help guide our regional team. The organisation’s ethos is all about prioritising and empowering people as we seek to improve gender parity in the industry, while working towards a more inclusive and understanding society.
“My focused themes for the year will be (i) overcoming imposter syndrome, (ii) concentrating on self-empowerment and wellbeing and (iii) increasing confidence. Our committee has put in a lot of work in the background to arrange a year full of enriching and wholesome events, with more to come.
“I am very excited to present these opportunities to our members, non-members and male allies this forthcoming year, which wouldn’t be possible without our committee and the time and effort that they are pouring into our strategy for 2026.
“Our committee here in the South East is formed of member volunteers, all industry professionals, who focus their spare time and energy on Women in Property’s core initiatives, including Schools Outreach, Inclusion and our Mentoring programme.
“We have a fantastic multi-disciplinary network, which is a real USP for Women in Property, and a great opportunity to promote a cross-fertilisation of ideas, through CPD-accredited events and networking.”
Supporting Mamta will be vice chair Angela Forte and junior vice chair Reece Raymond, who also took on the roles on 1 March. Angela is an associate director architect at T P Bennett and Reece is head of operations and growth at Centro Planning Consultancy.
Initiatives underway this year nationally include WiP’s national conference, the People-Innovation-Place Summit in Manchester on 23 April, which is open to non-members, of all genders, partnership panel discussions at UKREiiF in Leeds in May, and development of a new Future Industries programme, targeting young people to encourage more industry entrants from diverse backgrounds.
