Cripps apprentice wins at BPP awards

Kent-based top 100 law firm Cripps has announced that its paralegal apprentice Callum Benson has been named BPP Apprentice of the Year (Level 4-5) at the annual BPP Apprentice of the Year Awards.

This prestigious award recognises exceptional apprentices who have demonstrated outstanding achievements over the past year.

Since joining Crippsโ€™ apprenticeship programme in 2023, Callum has consistently impressed with his dedication, work ethic and eagerness to learn.

Earlier this year, he was elected as chair of the Kent Junior Lawyers Division, a role traditionally held by trainee solicitors.

In addition to this, Callum has been a passionate advocate for apprenticeships. He has spoken at various events, including Newman Catholic College in London, where he shared his experiences to inspire young individuals considering their career paths.

Fiona Chamberlain, emerging talent manager at Cripps, said: โ€œWe are immensely proud of Callumโ€™s well-deserved achievement. His accomplishments exemplify the calibre of talent nurtured through our programme.

โ€œCallum truly embodies our core values of dedication, excellence and a passion for learning. Congratulations Callum.โ€

Established in 2018, Crippsโ€™ apprenticeship programme offers a unique opportunity for aspiring legal professionals.

Apprentices gain valuable on-the-job experience while earning academic qualifications. This programme provides an excellent alternative to traditional university education, equipping participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the legal sector.
